Management Partnerships
Management partnerships (MP) aim at increasing coordination between the Member States and the European Commission in the field of communication on EU issues so that a structured, coherent and efficient approach, tailored to citizens' needs, can be achieved.
Under the Management Partnerships, Member States receive funds for communicating Europe and European policies. At present, 11 Countries are running a MP (Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Malta, Sweden, Poland) and another five should join by the end of the year (Greece, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland). In each of these Countries, a national 'intermediary body' manages these funds and runs calls for tender and/or calls for proposals on the topic of 'Communicating Europe', targetting different potential beneficiaries, including associations, the media and the education sector.
Both the EPS and the Management Partnerships initiatives could prove beneficial to professors of European integration studies. Please do not hesitate to use these instruments for activities linked to the promotion of European values to help us keep the European idea alive. The exact parameters of both schemes vary from country to country. We therefore encourage you to contact the head of the European Commission Representation of the relevant country for more information on both schemes http://ec.europa.eu/represent_en.htm
