Australian and New Zealand Journal of European Studies
Launched in 2008, the Australian and New Zealand Journal of European Studies (NZ ISSN 1176-7758 & AUS ISSN 1836-1803) is the only journal published in Australia and New Zealand that is solely devoted to European affairs. It provides a high impact outlet for debate on issues pertaining to post-Second World War Europe and serves as an authoritative regional source for research in an increasingly important area that up until now has lacked a central organ for dissemination.
Reflecting the aims of its founding organisations (the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia and the European Union Studies Association of New Zealand), the Australian and New Zealand Journal of European Studies provides a forum for discussion of contemporary European issues while fostering and maintaining links among those working in the field both in Australia and New Zealand and internationally.
In acknowledging that ‘Europe’ itself is a contested concept, the Australian and New Zealand Journal of European Studies addresses the difficult practical and theoretical questions posed by the sheer complexity that is Europe. It aims to encourage and inform the range of scholarships and approaches on Europe and to facilitate and promote original research across a broad range of disciplines concerned with post- War Europe.
